World Bear Weekend 2024 Recap

World Bear Weekend just celebrated its 6th annual event in Lexington, KY from August 1st thru 4th. Over 550 attendees participated in this year’s Star Wars-themed event for 4 days of dance parties, pool parties, vendors, educational workshops, entertainment, contests, and more. Over 18 vendors from all over the country were in attendance selling all types of bear-centric merchandise. Over 30 educational classes were offered in varying topics of kink, bondage, pet-related activities, dance, and more.
Nine contestants competed for the coveted titles in the annual World Bear Contest. Each contestant competed in (5) different categories, including a closing speech about their platform. This year’s winners for each title were:
- Lord Thunderknight, World Bear 2024
- Luna Bones, Ms World Bear 2024
- Marcus Keys, World Cub 2024
- Pup Balty, World Pet 2024
World Bear Weekend is a 501.c3 non-profit organization, and all proceeds from their events (after expenses) are donated to Rainbow Railroad and Lexington Pride Festival.
