Kyle Jackson: How does it feel to have “Cowboy Shake” be on Bear World Magazine’s Top 21 of ’21 list?

Daddy Dawg: Dude! What a sweet way to end this transformative year! It’s cool that people are getting a kick out of what I do! I’m super grateful!

Exclusive premiere Daddy Dawg
KJ: Where did the idea for Cowboy Shake come from?

DD: Cowboy Shake is based on the image of a big beefy cowboy dancing in a dark bar, and watching him move, sweat, shake. The gritty retro/pop sound speaks to where I’m at musically at the moment. The video takes cues from the sound as I imagined a late 60s variety show with a performance that could have never existed at that time.

KJ: Did you collaborate with anyone on the music video?

DD: My music videos, to this point, have been self made from start to finish. Being a DIY musician, I’ve honed a lot of filmmaking skills out of necessity, and one of them is working with a green screen. After nine solo videos, I’m glad to have some sexy go-go dawgs – Buck Harder, Charlie Harding, and Omega the Hound Dog – to feature alongside myself on this virtual studio set I’ve created.

KJ: What else can we look forward to from Daddy Dawg in 2022?

DD: I’ve got some sweet music in the works – Collaborations too, both music and video! It’s gonna be a fun ride!
