2025 Buick Enclave: Perfect for your Bear Enclave

The completely-redesigned 2025 Buick Enclave is a midsized (or full-size) SUV that has plenty of room for you and three of your Bear Friends, as well as the gear you will need to live happily-ever-after throughout a weekend of fun and fantasy (minus Goldilocks).

You will have almost 100 square feet of cargo space if you put the second row of seats down. Mileage is about 20 city / 25 highway. There is a lot to love about this charming vehicle which is, indeed, strong enough for a Bear but tame enough for a prince (like you).

Buick loves to name its vehicles beginning with the letters E and N.  Encore. Envista.  Envision.  Always remember which one you are asking to drive.  Here, it will be the Enclave, which, according to Vocabulary.com, means a place like a cave where “all of the bears live… while the people live on the mountainside.

So there you go.

Currently, I am very hesitant to talk about pricing, because tomorrow, the price I quote will be a thing of the past.  So please take note: Right now, at this very moment, you can get into the 2025 Enclave for about $45K US. That is not cheap for an SUV, but you do get a 2.5-liter turbo (4-cylinder) that offers 328 horses. And you can tow 5,000 pounds with it.

I tested the top-tier Enclave Avenir trim, which at the moment starts at just over $58K and truly borders on the unaffordable. The front seats are made of ventilated leather that can blow hot or cold and massage you as you desire. Bose 16-speaker audio and a panoramic moonroof also come standard on the Avenir, along with many other standout features.

You will know you are driving the Avenir because the nameplate is embroidered throughout the cabin.

And if you are looking for a medium to Lar-Jazz SUV, you may also want to look into the Kia Telluride and the Hyundai Palisade.

Right now is a great time to be looking for new cars that are already on dealer lots.  What is already there may not be totally to your liking, but it may be the best way to get the model and trim you want without having to address tariffs and other artificial political garbage that will negatively affect the car market.

Now is also a good time to look at getting a used car, should you need a new car.  When I say this, I am thinking only of your wallet.

Make sure you know the seller.  Please (especially for men of size) test-drive the car.  If a test-drive is not allowed, walk away. And make sure you can get it insured properly.

Here is a good article from Consumer Reports about how to shop for a used car.

In the meantime, hang tight.  Old queens will know the film All About Eve where the legendary Oscar-winner actress Bette Davis said, “fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy night.”

Indeed, it will be a bumpy year. Or a dumpy year, according to Bette Davis in Beyond the Forest
