‘The Brady Bunch’ gets dragged in new spoof featuring ‘Drag Race’ stars

Tonight, the stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race will transform into the Brady clan for a must-see television event!

Anyone who was a fan of the classic television sitcom The Brady Bunch remembers the iconic episode entitled “Will the Real Jan Brady Please Stand Up?”, when Jan Brady decides she wants a new look and buys an awkward-looking curly black wig. Well, the queens of Drag Race have joined together to DRAG the hell out of that famous episode — With love, of course.

Dragging the Classics: The Brady Bunch will see the queens joining forces with five of the six surviving cast members of the original Brady Bunch, including Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, Mike Lookinland, Eve Plumb and Susan Olsen. The crossover episode will use new technology to transport the cast back into the original Brady house!

The show stars All Stars 5 winner Shea Couleé as Marcia Brady, Drag Race season six winner Bianca Del Rio as Carol Brady, Ben DeLaCreme as Greg Brady, Kylie Sonique Love as Jan Brady, Nina West as the shady housekeeper Alice and Kandy Muse as the true “youngest one in curls,” Cindy Brady.

The episode is premiering tonight, June 30 — the last day of Pride Month. World of Wonder Executive Producer Randy Barbato said that this is not a coincidence. “For so long, ‘The Brady Bunch’ has represented the idyllic aspirational mixed family, but by mixing the stars of the original cast with the stars of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ we have been able to remind folks of the true meaning and value of family,” he told Variety in a statement.

He continues: “It’s also thrilling for us to have the opportunity to showcase the talents of so many of the ‘Drag Race’ girls, and to see their work alongside iconic actors! Hopefully, this project will help encourage folks to create even more opportunities for artists who don’t always get called upon.”

“I grew up watching ‘The Brady Bunch,’ and I would come home – and it was in syndication – and watch it with my two older sisters,” Nina West said. “It was this hyper-romantic idealized way. Here’s a family that has divorced kids, divorced parents and a blended family. And now, here we are, with these cultural icons to recreate this episode that is being tied to diversity, pride and authenticity, and loving your true authentic self.”

Dragging The Classics: The Brady Bunch is available for streaming today on Paramount+!
