Singer-songwriter Tom Goss to release highly anticipated “Territories” album accompanied by tour

This fall, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Tom Goss will be hitting the road to celebrate the release of his highly anticipated album, Territories. The seven-city tour will run from October 11 – November 10, and will feature performances from close friends and fellow recording artists Liz Deroche, Deven Green, and Nakia – a semifinalist from season one of NBC’s The Voice.

A prolific writer and performer, Tom has released seven albums and played more than a thousand shows to a growing group of dedicated fans across the US, Canada, and Europe. Though he has been compared to the likes of Brett Dennen, Mat Kearney, and Jason Mraz, Tom’s voice – shaped by his identity as a gay man and his unusual backstory – remains distinctive.

A native of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Tom attended college on a wrestling scholarship with initial plans to become a schoolteacher. A year of student teaching in Illinois changed his mind, but with the drive to continue making a difference in the world, he decided to become a Catholic priest.

After moving to Washington, D.C. and entering a seminary, he quickly became disillusioned by his experiences there. With a growing awareness that he was indeed a gay man, Tom found himself embracing his love of music and began a career as a touring performer.

Currently based in Los Angeles, Tom weaves his unique story through powerhouse performances that move from touching love songs to high-energy anthems. His songs have been heard on television networks such as ABC and HBO, as well as in several films. His inventive music videos, namely “Son of a Preacher Man”, “Breath and Sound”, “Bears”, and “Click”, have been viewed more than seven million times.

He has also shared a stage with performers as diverse as Andy Grammer, Martha Wash, Taylor Dane, Steve Grand, Adrianne Gonzalez, Matt Alber, and Catie Curtis, while also enjoying a particularly strong following in the LGBT community.
