NYC-based indie singer/songwriter Kyle Motsinger has released his Sophomore album Any Way I Want It To, which includes the empowering and uplifting body positive anthem, “No Shame” featuring Melody Betts, on all digital platforms!
Motsinger classifies his genre as piano-driven theatrical pop/rock. The album deals with loving thy neighbor, roads not taken, body positivity, introversion, gender expression, politics, and the global pandemic we are currently fighting.
Four of the albums songs were inspired by, written and recorded during quarantine. The sonic styles include dance floor bangers, piano pop, folk, musical theatre, rock, and alternative. Fellow singer/songwriter Corey TuT co-produced, mixed, and mastered the album, with string arrangements by Mark Hartman. Broadway and TV’s Melody Betts, singer/songwriter Kat Liz Kramer, and TuT are also featured on the album.
Kyle Motsinger released his debut album, Far Away, in 2017 after taking a break from acting, and has gone on to release several stand-alone singles including “Dark Shadows”, inspired by the gothic 60’s soap opera, which also provided the inspiration the music video featuring original series star Kathryn Leigh Scott.
Kyle has performed all over NYC in venues like the Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, the Duplex, and Don’t Tell Mama. He has performed in front of thousands in 2017 at Folsom Street East Festival, and is set to return in June of 2021. Motsinger is currently writing his first musical with playwright and lyricist Dylan Hartwell.
