Big Daddy Karsten releases ‘Now We Up’, performs at Bergen Pride

One of our favorite Bear rappers is releasing new music and celebrating a return to physical events this year!

Big Daddy Karsten, known for being Norway’s first and only openly gay rapper and his participation in this years Melodi Grand Prix with his queer smash “Smile”, he will be performing today, June 11, as one of this years headliners at Bergen Pride. To celebrate being able to have fun and protest physically again, he is releasing his new song “Now we up” the same day!

“Now we up” is a song that brings you along the ride for some of the most painful and beautiful things we experience in life. From feeling anxiety, isolation and depression to your friends picking you up, distracting you from the pain and helping you reclaim your smile.

The song serves you playfull rapping over an exciting pop beat, with a chorus that’s almost impossible not to sing along to. This is a song that without question reflects the time that we live in but also gives us a glimpse of the light at the end of the tunnel.

“Now We Up” is available now on Spotify and all digital platforms!
