Celebrate Daddy’s Day with Beargarden

Celebrate ‘Daddy’s Day’ with Beargarden this weekend!

Beargarden is thrilled to announce an upcoming event this Pride season celebrating the chosen “daddies” of our lives, set to take place on Father’s Day, June 16, from 4-8pm at The Offbeat in Highland Park in Los Angeles. This unique gathering aims to honor the concept of chosen family with a tongue-in-cheek nod to the intergenerational relationships often seen in the gay and bear communities, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere for all attendees.

The event will feature live performances by CURSE and El Valentino, along with a DJ set by SANTO. In addition to the entertainment, the event will also feature a ‘Bear Market’ including DéGlassé (stained glass artist), Bearly Covered Clothing (apparel) and Ethical Punk (jewelry and apparel). Attendees will also enjoy an outdoor area, making this a perfect daytime event to relax and connect with others. All Daddies, Bears, Chasers and friends are welcome.

“We are creating our own definition of family,” says Emilio Rodriguez, founder of Beargarden. “As a gay Latino, I knew that The Offbeat in Highland Park was where I wanted to bring my event. It’s a place that musicians love to play and a place that feels authentic to who we are.”

As a special treat for Bear World Magazine readers, Beargarden is offering 2 for 1 tickets using code BEARWORLD. That’s two tickets for $10! Not a bad way to spend Daddy’s Day at all if you ask us! Get your tickets HERE.

About Beargarden

Launched in summer 2023 by Emilio Rodriguez, Beargarden quickly became a favorite among San Gabriel Valley bears with enticing beer specials and outdoor seating. That summer Beargarden co-hosted the Pasadena Pride Tea Dance with Boulevard Pasadena, raising funds for the Trevor Project. Currently, Beargarden is expanding its programming to LA proper at venues like The Offbeat, continuing to provide body-positive spaces and highlighting bear culture.
