Bear World Magazine Awards 2024 Winners Revealed
The Bear World Magazine Awards 2024 , presented by BIKE Athletic took place at the Crown & Anchor on July 15th during Bear Week Provincetown.
Tons of stars from the bear and wider LGBTQ community came out to celebrate our best and brightest bears in our community and the video of the night just premiered on our YouTube channel. If you missed it, watch it here in full – for category segments head to Bear World Mag TV
It truly was ‘the most glittering night of the year’ for bears, as proclaimed by Payton St. James, who along with our editor in chief, John Hernandez co- hosted the event. And with appearances from the likes of Drew Sebastian, Big Dipper, Joel Someone, King Dwarf, Stan Chris and a red carpet hosted by none other than the force of nature that is Meatball, its easy to see why.

The Awards also featured appearances from heavy hitters in the bear community like Nino Eilets, co-producer of International Bear Convergence, and Jonathan Hawkins, the owner of Provincetown’s Crown & Anchor and the creator or Prouder Together, the charity organization which the Awards benefitted via ticket sales.
Matt Alber, the two-time Grammy Award winning heartthrob, was on hand to give a showstopping acoustic performance during the show which absolutely delighted the audience filled with our wonderful nominees, winners, bear lovers and even beloved Drag Race superstar Nina West.
Twelve awards were given out, voted on by you, our readers, with the exception of our Bear World Trailblazer and Icon awards (given to Dan Jiménez and Les K Wright, respectively) which were selected by the editorial staff.

The evening was punctuated by acceptance speeches that were memorable, funny, poignant and heartwarming. The hosts did a great job of keeping things moving while entertaining the enthusiastic crowd with the assistance of trophy cubs Ner and Juicy Jay.
It was an evening to remember and has been so well received that Bear World Magazine has been invited back to the Crown next year to do it all again! Watch this space for more information and details as they unfold.
