SKYN releases new condom ad featuring queer couples and music by Peaches
Who ever thought that “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” could get this sexy?
Condom brand SKYN has joined forces with popular Canadian artist Peaches, director Matt Lambert and London-based cinematographer Rina Yang to turn the popular children’s’ tune “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” into something a little more adult.
In a steamy new condom ad, the song is sung as mostly queer couples interlock their fingers, knees, toes and other limbs, and engage in various intimate activities. Hence, the campaign slogan: “Pleasure is an endless exploration.”
The couples featured in the ad are actual couples, and director Matt Lambert reveals that it is the most non-cishet campaign SKYN has ever done.
“Much of my work over the years has focused on authentic representations of queer intimacy, love and sex,” Lambert said in a release. “It was so exciting to be able to bring these worlds, and experience of directing countless intimacy/sex scenes, to a mainstream commercial space.”
SKYN wrote in a statement: “In a world where we need to avoid touch outside, being stuck indoors gives us an opportunity to explore the touch of intimacy more than ever. At a time in which we can’t travel far, the possibilities to discover through pleasure are limitless — a whole new world right at our fingertips.”
