Show your Bear Spirit at the 2022 Virginia Bear Contest!
The Bears of Virginia are showing their Bear spirit!
The 2022 Virginia Bear Contest will happen on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in Norfolk, Virginia! This year’s contest will feature the extra special MC, the incomparable Eunita Biskit, and this year’s theme will be “The Spirit of the Bear.”
The Bear, is an animal whose spirit is symbolic of strength and courage. A strong source of support in times of difficulty, the bear is also a guide to take leadership in your life or in other people’s lives. Come show your Bear Pride and support the Virginia Bear community as they elect new members of the Virginia Bear family!
The fun will kick off on Friday, November 19 at MJ’s Tavern for the “Greet the Meat” party! Come meet and greet the contestants, judges and the outgoing Virginia Bear Crew. Special Jello and raffle tickets will be sold — you could win a fabulous prize at the contest!
Then, on Saturday, the 2022 Virginia Bear Contest kicks off at 7:00 p.m.! The contest pre-party in The Wave‘s Happy Hour Bar with drink specials and your last chance to get those raffle tickets! The contest will begin at 9:00 p.m. Come see who will represent Virginia for 2022 and say goodbye to the 2021 crew!
Then, after the contest is over, come party with your new Virginia Bear Crew at MJ’s Tavern.
All proceeds from the contest will benefit the LGBT LIfe Center.
