Kyle is no stranger to covering some of our favorite hits with his first release being a cover of “30/90” from the musical film “Tick, Tick… Boom!” to his second and third covers being Miley Cyrus’s “See You Again” and Lady Gaga’s “Do What U Want” each with respective music videos on YouTube. With each cover that he does, he puts his own personal spin on them making them unique to his story and his voice.

Every music video showcases a storyline that makes the covers feel like they are originals from him. His latest cover release of Celine Dion’s “The Power of Love” also has a fantastic music video to accompany it, and I had the privilege to chat with him about it!

Bryce Quartz: Hey Kyle, thanks for taking the time to speak with me today! How are you feeling now that your new single is out on all platforms?

Kyle McIntire: I am feeling the POWER OF LOVE!! This is a softer, romantic side of me that I wanted to show my audience. I am feeling proud of the work my friends and I are doing with these songs. We are still discovering ourselves in music and it’s very exciting!

Bryce Quartz: Can you tell us a little bit about your process in how you find a song to cover that feels right for you?

Kyle McIntire: After I did my first cover in 2021, I decided I wanted to do an EP of Covers. Generate traction using songs people love and if they didn’t, now they will. Explore my skills as an artist, and showcase my voice in this arena of music. So I came up with” DIVA” for the EP. All of them can be recognized from one name… GAGA, MILEY, CELINE… and I have two more on the way !!

Bryce Quartz: Why did you pick “The Power of Love” by Celine Dion for this single?

Kyle McIntire: I chose the Power of Love because I LOVE CELINE DION. She is my favorite DIVA of all time, and when I started listing my divas she had to be on the list. I considered a different song at first, but ultimately decided this song had to be the one. This one has a lot of heart. A commitment to love.

Bryce Quartz: Who inspires you?

Kyle McIntire: I am inspired by Freddie Mercury, Elton John, Adam Lambert, Celine, Gaga, Miley. Whitney. Beyonce. DIVAS.

Bryce Quartz: Who do you want to collab with?

Kyle McIntire: I’d love to collab with Zee Machine for sure. They are killing it in the music game, I love their music, their writing style, and I think our voices together would sound sexy af. Go stream “The Radio” now… it’s perfection.

Bryce Quartz: What is your process in taking that song or any song to the studio and recording it?

Kyle McIntire: My music partners, Gordon Bonnett, Anthony Murphy start with a few jam sessions, suss out the vibe, record demos, and then build layer by layer in the studio. It’s a very organic exploration of sound and vibe. We try stuff, sleep on it, change it, edit it, play with it. A very fun process, and super rewarding in the end.

Bryce Quartz: I love all your visuals! You kill it every single time. Can you tell me a little bit about the visual story you’re telling with this latest music video for “The Power of Love”?

Kyle McIntire: Thank you so much.  I am always trying to elevate my production, and reach a higher quality of art with each project. I went BIG on the last two videos. With Power of Love, I stripped things down a little bit to show a more vulnerable side of me. ME. No glitz, no effect. Just Romance, suave, and heart.

Bryce Quartz: All your music videos so far are amazing. How did you go about planning your previous music videos and how do they showcase who you are as an artist?

Kyle McIntire: The best decision I ever made was reaching out to Catalin Stelian on Instagram. I had seen a little bit of his work, and his equipment 😉 Very Impressive. Catalin absolutely slayed those videos. My friend Anthony Murphy, who directed both videos, and I came up with the concepts. We had a meeting with Catalin to discuss vision, storyline, locations, and concept. From there it’s logistics, locations, clothing, rehearsals, and then finally SHOOT DAYS. It’s hard work, but I am feeling accomplished in my work.

Bryce Quartz: You recently performed for the first time live this year at Club Chub NYC and then The Stonewall Inn thereafter, how did it feel translating your studio recordings on a stage for a live audience?

Kyle McIntire: Both gigs with you, Bryce! It was the perfect introduction for my premier in NYC nightlife. It felt so awesome to perform the songs live!! Living my pop star fantasy !!

I have since done a few events with UrbanBear, Goldiloxx Bear parties, and I’m excited for more! Hire me for your next event 😉

Bryce Quartz: Can you give us a hint at what you have planned next?

Kyle McIntire: Ain’t it shocking what love can do 😉

Bryce Quartz: Thanks for taking the time to speak with me today! Anything you’d like to add for our readers?
