Hottest Holiday Bears!
Tis the season for all things merry, jolly, beefy and sexy! As you may or may not have noticed Christmas lore is filled with an astonishing array of bears! So we have gathered up some of our favorite holiday bears to get those sleigh bells jingling!
The Ghost of Christmas Present
One of our very favorite Christmas tales to enjoy this time of year is Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. And as we all know, Scrooge is visited by his dead business partner Marley who warns him that three spirits would visit him that Christmas night to help facilitate his redemption lest he suffer an afterlife of torture like Marly is. Well, the second Spirit, who is technically Scrooge’s third visitor of the night is the hunky Ghost of Christmas Present who is a green man type figure with an huge beard, and an open chested robe as depicted here in 1843 by John Leech. In nearly all adaptations of the book since then the hot daddy bears have played this role in the story including the woofy Francis de Wolff who portrayed the specter in the 1951 film starring Alastair Sim.
Yukon Cornelius
As perhaps the queerest of all Christmas specials, 1964’s Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer has always held a special place in our hearts. I mean there is a lot of coding going on here! We have Hermey the Dentist who differs not only in career ambitions from his fellow elves, but also sports a fabulous blonde flip with a voice highly reminiscent of camp icon Paul Lynde who runs away with Rudolph who was ostracized by the reindeer for his weird, shiny nose. The pair pick up alpha bear Yukon Cornelius who likes to lick axes whip pups after he saves them from the Abominable Snow Monster.
With a big bushy beard and belly to match, Yukon has us glued to the tv screens as kids for reasons we are now only just understanding. WOOF! I mean MUSH!
Frosty the Snowman
Round bellied, pipe smoking and good tempered Frosty the Snowman is a definitely a bear or at very least a chub under all that snow. He was also voiced by bear icon John Goodman in 1992′ Frosty Returns.
The Grinch
The Grinch has hair all over his body and is depicted as having a scruffy, furry face in Dr. Seuss’ book How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Gays know how to do diabolical right, especially this queen. Merry Grinchmas!!
Santa Claus
Perhaps the most famous daddy ever, Santa Claus is synonymous with Christmas itself. A polar bear through and through, Santa is a man of a certain age with a big bushy beard and a round jiggly belly with a huge sack who can deliver all night. Need I say more?! We’ve seen enough naughty Santa photos to know that the bears love him and have adopted him as one of our own.
