2025 GMC Canyon: It’s a Big (But Reasonable) One

If you don’t need a really big truck – but one that is big enough – the 2025 Canyon may just fit the bill. 

This is considered a workhorse with outstanding towing capacity (when properly outfitted) while at the same time having a nice mix of style and utility. If you are lucky (and I do mean ‘lucky’), you may be able to get one for just over $40K US.

Its brother truck is the Chevy Colorado, which is very similar and little more affable. Many consider the Canyon to be the flashier one, offering a more premium experience, while the Colorado is a little more stripped-down, if you will. 

With most trucks these days, you can have it configured just about any way you like.  With the Canyon, however, you can get only a crew cab (four door) and a short bed, which is a little over five feet. 

Each 2025 Canyon comes with an inline-4 turbo that offers 310 horses. 

Believe it or not, the Canyon is considered a midsized truck, but make no mistake, it is still a Hugh Jass truck. You will need to have a nice big parking space to keep this Baby Huey safe.

If you have four friends with whom you want to travel, I suggest you all get in first to see how you fit.  The backseats are not as generous as with other trucks but are still roomy. And they are very cushy for your Hugh Jasses.

I have always liked the tech that General Motors offers. It’s easy as pizza pie to sync your phone so you can enjoy your music.  Staying cool this summer will be easy without having to use proper grammar to communicate with your Canyon. And when it comes to backing up and maneuvering, there are plenty of cameras and driving aids to help you navigate this behemoth. 

The Chevy Colorado is less expensive, so keep that in mind.  It’s not as cushy, if that is important to you.

So many choices.  Basically, you don’t have to overthink much.  You just have stay alert and drive.
