‘Dashing in December’ will serve us gay cowboy love for the Holidays!

Yeee Haw! Get ready to strap up your boots and saddle your horses, because we are going west for the Holidays this year!

MTV Studios has announced a new Holiday film, which involves gay love on a country ranch. Oh yes, cowboy, you got that right.

In Dashing in December, a New York City financier named Wyatt (Peter Porte) visits his mom’s ranch-styled Winter Wonderland attraction for the Holidays. While attempting to talk his mom, Deb (Andie McDowell), into selling the place, he meets Heath (Juan Pablo Di Pace), a handsome ranch hand. And, well… You can figure out the rest. This ain’t Brokeback Mountain, but these boys definitely make a cute couple — hopefully with less tragedy!

There also seems to be several other queer Holiday flicks coming out (no pun intended) this year, including the first studio-backed Christmas flick with queer lead characters, Happiest Season, directed by Clea DuVall and starring Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis. Stalwart romance movie networks will also be presenting Lifetime’s The Christmas Setup. And now, as if 2020 couldn’t make us any more hopeful after the Biden/Harris victory, there’s also a gay cowboy Holiday rom-com on the way!

Dashing in December is set to premiere on Paramount TV with simulcasts on Logo, Pop, and TV Land on December 13.
