Celebrating Uber-Daddy Pedro Pascal and his LGBTQ+ Allyship

In celebration of the birthday of hunk, heartthrob, LGBTQ+ super-ally and internet daddy supreme Pedro Pascal on April 2nd, we’ve put together a round up of some of his cutest/hottest/most adorable moments as documented on social media.

Pedro Pascal is of course ruggedly handsome, funny and ridiculously likeable but what sets him apart is his staunch allyship to the LGBTQ+ community. He has been nothing but loving and supportive in the media towards his trans sister Lux Pascal and has been a very vocal ally for for the rights of our community at a time when it matters the most, and at a time where he is at the peak of his career.

He also has very public and very high profile friendships with the likes of Sarah Paulson, Bella Ramsey and Pedro Almodóvar (director of the queer western Strange Way of Life which Pascal is starring in), all queer icons in their own right. And although no one should receive a medal for simply befriending an LGBTQ person, to me this further demonstrates his dedication to our community. Its not simply lip service for him, pandering for likeability. Some of his closest friends and his sister are queer people, he actually has an investment in the well being of our community. The stakes are much higher for him, and it shows.

So, while the thirst for Daddy Pedro is real (and unquenchable) it’s also coming from a place of deep appreciation and recognition for the good he is doing with his platform. Happy 48th birthday Pedro, here’s to many more!
