2022 Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4: A Fab-U-Truck!

Because there are so many out there, keeping track of the many different versions of the Ram 1500 is really hard. (No pun intended, really).

If you were a boy who had a large collection of Hot Wheels or Tonka Trunks when you where younger (or possibly even now), you could tell everyone all the differences between them and how they each performed under pressure – or on an outing.

This week, we are focusing on the 2022 Big Horn. It’s a Ram 1500 style that, of course, gets the job done. Also, it comes with special accessories that may make it the 1500 you need and want.

The Big Horn trim (known as The Lone Star in Texas) is a step up from the basic Tradesman. This is what you want to get if you just need a basic, no frills truck. Starting at $40,855 US, The Big Horn has 18-inch aluminum wheels, chrome bumpers, and body-colored door handles. It also has leather-wrapped steering wheel, fog lights, extra interior storage… This is in addition to standard power doors and windows, heated mirrors, remote entry, trailer sway damping and auto-dimming headlights.

And did I mention it comes with 5.7-liter V8 hemi?

Combined mileage is 19, so the Big Horn is your work truck for all those Bears who want to and need to wear Carhartts. (Big kudos for protecting its  workforce with a vaccine requirement, which some anti-gay customers have protested.)

And while it’s a work truck, it has just enough flair to not make your feel like you have no class and style and all. I mean, just because you have to go to work with a bunch of big burly men, that doesn’t mean you aren’t fab-u all day.

(You can also get a limited-edition Ram 1500 ‘Red’ as part of Ram’s Project Red, which will help global emergencies such as AIDS. Click here for a promo piece about the effort.)

Important Note: It has come to my attention (no kidding, Sam) that getting your hands on a car, new or used, has gotten even more difficult since the holidays last month. What was supposed to be a short-lived “everything will get better in 2022” situation has mushroomed and gotten much worse in January, especially for automobiles.

I wish I had some good news for you. All my sources are reporting prices for even cars with 75K+ miles are astronomical (and I would not recommend even considering a car with that many miles).

Stay vigilant, unless it’s an emergency, and even then…..

And keep trying to enjoy your fabulous Bear Lives! Think Yogi and Boo-Boo. Would those bears really panic if suddenly there was a picnic basket shortage?

They would simply go to another bear event and load up at the buffet.
