Urban Bear Takes the Reins of Fire Island Bear Weekend
Fire Island Bear Weekend 2025 Roars Back with an Unforgettable Lineup of Events in Cherry Grove and The Pines!
Fire Island Bear Weekend (FIBW) returns bigger, bolder, and furrier than ever, lighting up Cherry Grove and The Pines with a weekend of high-energy parties, poolside fun, and community celebration from Thursday, June 5th through Sunday, June 8th, 2025.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the legendary event which was started by beloved NYC nightlife promoter Shane Tate and is now, for the first time, under the helm of Robert Valin and the Urban Bear team.
The weekend will kick off on Thursday night at Cherry’s on the Bay in Cherry Grove with the legendary ‘BEERS and BEARS’ Opening Party at 8:00 PM. Hosted by the incomparable Danny J, and featuring beats by DJ Ted Bishop, it’s the perfect way to dive into the weekend.

On Friday, June 6th, heat things up at the Bear Ass Tea Pool Party at the Belvedere Guest House for Men starting at 4:00 PM. This clothing-optional pool and dance party offers an open bar and music by DJ INSYX Paranah, with Urban Bear’s Robert Valin & Danny J once again hosting.

Saturday’s lineup includes the highly anticipated Mr. Fire Island Bear Contest at 5:00 PM at Cherry’s on the Bay (complimentary admission). Then, get ready for the weekend’s Main Event — FIBW’s Brut REVELADIUM at The Pines Pavilion. Presented by Fire Island Bear Weekend, The Urban Bear, and MISTR, this massive internationally acclaimed party kicks off at 9:00 PM, featuring a powerhouse DJ lineup of Dan Darlington and Brady Prince.

The weekend wraps up Sunday, June 8th with The Urban Bear Mega Pool Party from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, featuring cabanas, luggage check, and poolside vibes at the harbor in gorgeous Fire Island Pines.
