Tom Goss Releases New Video for “Husbands”, Announces Tour Dates

Tom Goss, this year’s Bear World Magazine Award winner for Favorite Bear Musician has just dropped a new song and video entitled “Husbands”.

The song, of course, is an ode to Tom’s husband Mike Briggs who he married in 2010. With a sweet, catchy melody, “Husbands” is a song of love and devotion to the man Tom has chosen to spend his life with. The inspiration for the song came to Tom while the couple was traveling:

“I wrote this song while performing on a VACAYA cruise with my husband. I performed the song the night I wrote it, and made my husband sit on stage and listen to it for the first time, in front of the live audience. There was not a dry eye in the house.”

Tom, who has always worn his heart on his sleeve, has been very forthcoming about the peaks and valleys of his relationship and the song reflects that, but also hammers home the message that Mike is the love of his life, his family and his home. The accompanying video for the song reflects that message as well with two animated bears taking a journey together across the ocean while seemingly making a home for themselves, which effectively, is the story of all marriages.

“Ultimately, this song is about what it means to truly be in love” Tom says. “The ups, the downs, the growing pains, and the simple pleasures. In my experience, being a good husband means learning how to be compassionate, understanding, loving, and at times, resilient.”
