Some significant changes are coming to the ‘Canada’s Drag Race’ judges’ panel

The Canada’s Drag Race judge’s panel is going through some changes!

The Canadian iteration of the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise has announced that its judges panel is getting a lot smaller, since runway model Stacey McKenzie will not be able to return as a regular judge on season two. This is a significant change to the judge’s panel, since actor Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, who was accused by fans of being overly harsh in his critiques, announced that he wouldn’t be returning back in March.

Canada’s Drag Race made the announcement via Twitter yesterday. “#CanadasDragRace fans, we’re sad to share that Stacey McKenzie won’t be able to return for Season 2 due to COVID-related challenges,” said the post. “We’ll miss her killer lewks, positive vibes, & energy but know that she’ll be cheering on the S2 queens! Stay tuned for updates on our judges soon!”

Apparently, Stacey McKenzie will not be available to judge the show because of Canada’s COVID travel restrictions. It seems that season 11 alum and top 4 queen Brooke Lynn Hytes, one of the show’s original three judges, will be the only original judge returning to the panel.

The two new judges have yet to be announced, but hopefully the replacements are as good as the originals!
