Reykjavik Bear 2024 – Iceland is waiting!
Reykjavík Bear 2024 (RVKBear 2024) is getting ready to welcome bears from all around the globe this year once more, from August 29th to September 1st!
Iceland is waiting to host a pack of sexy bears for another weekend of fun, social activities, and tours on our little volcanic rock in the north Atlantic ocean.
What’s on the schedule this year?
On Thursday, the attending bears will pick up their armbands and enjoy a casual party to get to know the beary faces of RVKBear 2024, on the beautiful rooftop bar of Petersen Svítan, with views over Reykjavík’s famous rainbow road and the harbour. In the past, northern lights have been known to crash the party!
Friday will be about touring the three most popular natural sites of Iceland. First stop: Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site, and the location of the first viking parliament, on the rift between the American and European tectonic plates. Then a second stop will be at Geysir hot springs to enjoy geysirs and boiling hot springs, as well as a delicious lunch buffet with gorgeous views over the area. And to finish the tour, a third stop will be made at the golden Gullfoss waterfalls, said to be the birthplace of nature conservation ideals in Iceland.
After a day of adventure, get ready to party!
Iceland is cold… but the legendary Friday Top-Off! party is one of the hottest places in the country! After a beautiful day touring, its time to get a bit frisky, dancing shirtless with a pack of sexy men!
On Saturday, for the first time, RVKBear invades the Sky Lagoon! The Sky Lagoon geothermal spa offers gorgeous views over the ocean and the bay of Reykjavík, an in-water bar, and the 7-step spa Ritual. Located in a turfhouse inspired by traditional Icelandic farmhouses, the sauna is equipped with the biggest single-pane window in Iceland…. A perfect way to relax after a Friday night of partying!
After that wonderful spa afternoon, the RVKBear GROWL! party will brighten up the evening with our guest DJs to entertain locals and visitors through the night.
But what would a Bear weekend be without a brunch?
On Sunday, the Farewell brunch buffet is an occasion for the participating bears to debrief the weekend – and plan their next visit!
Due to the changing nature of Iceland, this year RVKBear will not offer the Blue Lagoon as part of the Full Event Pass. Instead, it is offered as a limited add-on for Sunday afternoon; one last opportunity to share a beautiful spa experience in one of NatGeo’s modern wonders of the world!
