Rapper DDm releases new single ‘Stop My Bag’
Today, queer Baltimore rapper DDm (Dapper Dan Midas) drops his first new music since releasing the critically acclaimed EP The Ballad of Omar in May.
The new single “Stop My Bag” sees the rapper exploring more more upbeat themes, a stark contrast to The Ballad of Omar’s sobering themes depicting his experiences growing up as a queer Black man in Baltimore City, which he discussed in our June interview. The single serves as a much-needed escapist anthem for 2020.
“‘Stop My Bag’ is a defiant little bop about not letting anything block you from your goals,” the rapper shares. “It’s about doing what you have to do to get the money!”
