OutLoud announces live Pride concert in L.A., Adam Lambert curates lineup
Pride is slowly staging a comeback, starting with an awesome concert series, according to The Advocate!
OutLoud: Raising Voices is an award-winning artist series that will be returning for a three-day concert from June 4 to 6. Partnering with Pride Live’s Stonewall Day, which serves as an awareness campaign for the Stonewall uprising and LGBTQ activism, the event will look to raise funds for numerous LGBTQ charities, such as Trans Tech Social and Trans Lash.
And yes, the concert will be live! It will be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where 3,500 attendees are allowed to gather, provided they adhere to health guidance from L.A. County. The concert will also be streamed to a global audience via Twitch.
Stonewall Day co-founder Ann Marie Gothard stated: “We are honored to partner with OutLoud to bring our collective voices together to speak on behalf and in support of the LGBTQ+ community. At its core, Stonewall Day is a day to remember how far we have come and a reminder there is still more work to be done to achieve full LGBTQ+ equality.
Gothard goes on to say: “We are extremely proud to further advance our global movement that celebrates a very important event in history, champions inclusivity, and hopefully inspires the next generation.”
On Friday, June 4, Sofi Tukker with Daya, Jake Wesley Rogers, LP Giobbi, Tygapaw, Madeline The Person, Ryan Cassata and Saro will all head to the Stonewall Day stage. On Saturday, Hayley Kiyoko with Bronze Avery, Mykki Blanco, Crush Club, Kaleena Zanders, La Doña, Madame Gandhi, Malia Civetz, and Brooke Eden will take the stage.
Stonewall Day’s Sunday lineup will be curated by Adam Lambert, on behalf of the Feel Something Foundation. Lambert will headline alongside Angel Bonilla, Chely Wright, Kim Petras, Sam Sparro, Vincint featuring Parson James, Qveen Herby and Ty Sunderland. Other guests include Zhavia Ward. Angelica Ross, Conchita, Geena Rocero, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Valentina Sampaio, Yungblud, and Whoopi Goldberg.
“I really wanted to curate an event for Stonewall Day that was about queer performers, and was centered around the community,” Lambert said in a statement. “I’m thrilled that Stonewall Day is part of OutLoud’s weekend full of amazing performances and entertainment, and benefiting charities close to my heart.”
“OutLoud: Raising Voices will kick off Pride 2021 with a groundbreaking global celebration for the LGBTQIA+ and allied community, bringing people together in-person and virtually for an unmatched event,” stated OutLoud co-creators Jeff Consoletti and Artie Kenney.
“Presenting Pride Live’s Stonewall Day and streaming for free on Twitch will create one of the biggest Pride celebrations in the world featuring an amazing line-up of artists and performances.”
The event will be free to stream June 4, 5 and 6 from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. EST at Twitch.tv/officiallyoutloud. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.
