Pride month is here, and if you’re a bear in New York City, there is nowhere better to be than right in the thick of it. Urban Bear has a full month of events building toward an all-out, globe-trotting blowout on Pride weekend itself. The party has already started — here’s what’s still to come.

Fire Island Bear Weekend
Sand between your toes, bears everywhere you look, and nights that start at the tea dance and don’t stop until the last ferry home. Fire Island is the most iconic LGBTQ+ playground on earth, and this summer it belongs to the bears again.
Sunday, June 21 — CAKE Tea Dance at Nowhere Bar
DJ Nobl3 B3ar sets the mood for a Sunday afternoon that starts slow and burns hot. Consider this your warm-up, because what’s coming the following weekend is something else entirely.
Friday, June 26 — Bears Ahoy! Pride Cruise aboard the Circle Line
This one sells out every single year, and every year you understand exactly why. The Circle Line sets sail down the Hudson with music by Peter Napoli of BRUT, a sea of beautiful bears, drinks flowing, and the Manhattan skyline at your back. It’s sweaty, sexy, and completely unforgettable. Tickets are already moving fast.
Sunday, June 28 — Urban Bear Pride Mega Bear Blast at The Brass Monkey
This is the one. The centerpiece. The event that bears fly in from London, Berlin, Sydney, and São Paulo to attend. Over 1,000 men pack The Brass Monkey every Pride Sunday for what has become one of the great global bear celebrations, and this year promises to be bigger and louder than ever.
Three floors. A rooftop deck with sweeping views over Hudson River Park. Go-go boys. Drag performances. And NYC’s best bear DJs keeping the main floor and the roof shaking from the first drop to last call. The energy in that building has to be felt to be believed.
This is not a party you recover from quickly. It’s the one you talk about for the rest of the year.
