Northern Bear Bash celebrates Pride in Toronto with 2 events!
Northern Bear Bash is hosting two events in Toronto for Pride Month this year, check out the details below!
Founded in 2016 at Glad Day Bookshop, Northern Bear Bash was created to provide a welcoming social space for bears, cubs, otters, and their admirers within Toronto’s LGBTQ+ community. The event is now mainly hosted at The Black Eagle.
What began as an intimate gathering quickly developed a loyal following, bringing together people from across the city and beyond.
Today, it is a recognized fixture within Toronto’s LGBTQ+ social calendar, offering dance parties and community-focused events throughout the year.
In 2024, Northern Bear Events expanded its offerings with the introduction of Bear Baths at Steamworks Toronto, providing another dedicated space for community members to connect and socialize.
The addition of Bear Baths further strengthened Northern Bear’s commitment to creating diverse experiences for the bear community.
In 2026, Northern Bear Events continues to expand its presence during Toronto’s Pride season!
On June 20th, throw on your best tropical shirt and meet up at The Village Beer Garden for the Northern Bear Bash Tea Dance for Village Fest!
Spend time with the bears of Toronto from 3pm-6pm in the Church-Wellesley Village with DJ sets and go-go dancers. There’s also no cover charge!

On June 27th, the bears are taking over Pride Saturday with the return of Northern Bear Bash’s biggest night of the year!
BEAR PRIDE will be at El Mocambo with a full-venue celebration built for the bear community and everyone who loves it too.
This year’s Pride edition of Northern Bear Bash will feature music from acclaimed DJs Mark Falco and DJ SAMMM, along with performances from local go-go dancers.

While Northern Bear Events currently operates exclusively in Toronto, there are plans to expand into additional cities in the future, helping connect bear communities across Canada.
As Northern Bear Bash approaches its tenth anniversary, it remains dedicated to fostering friendship, inclusivity, and community through events that bring people together in welcoming and affirming spaces.
