New trailer for ‘American Horror Stories’ drops, features Rubber Woman
This summer, American Horror Stories plans to absolutely SLAY!
The trailer for the newest iteration of the American Horror Story anthology, entitled American Horror Stories, has dropped!
As we wait in anticipation for the eleventh season of the original AHS — which was supposed to premiere last year, but was postponed until the fall of this year because of the pandemic — Ryan Murphy is keeping our gory hearts fed with this new instalment coming July 15! American Horror Stories (that’s plural, not singular) is a spin-off of the original, but the only difference is that it will be a weekly anthology series as opposed to a seasonal one.
Each episode will feature a new horror, in the same vein as classics such as The Twilight Zone and Tales From the Crypt. It will consist of 16 hour-long episodes, and feature many of the regular AHS cast members. AHS regular, Sarah Paulson, is reportedly set to direct one of the episodes.
A few weeks ago, Ryan Murphy also posted a photo to Instagram featuring some of the actors who will be featured in the new series. “Fantastic Four #AHStories – July, “ he wrote, referring to a photo of actors Nico Greetman (The Prom), Kevin McHale (Glee), Dyllón Burnside (POSE) and Charles Melton (Riverdale).
The teaser trailer for AHStories shows us a new monster, Rubber Woman — who is obviously the female counterpart of the Rubber Man demon we met in AHS: Murder House and AHS: Apocalypse. The trailer shows her standing in a field of blood-red plants before walking into a large, haunted house. Inside she encounters various horrors, before coming face-to-face with her male doppelganger and slaying him with a knife.
We’re not sure what the trailer is actually telling us, or what role Rubber Woman will play in the season, but one thing is for sure — buckle up for a rollercoaster ride!
American Horror Stories will premiere on FX July 15!
