What do you get when Mr HCB 2025 + KBB + HCB Committee + batyr + E.F.P. Photography work together? You get the perfect collaboration for some fabulous Bear Beachwear for a charitable cause this summer!
Jono Metzl (Mr Harbour City 2025) is fundraising for the charity, batyr, an Australian organisation focused on empowering young people with the skills and confidence to look after their mental health before a crisis. They help youths by encouraging early intervention and breaking stigma through honest conversations.
What are Jono’s Fundraising efforts?

Jono has chosen to fundraise with Kris Bee Bacon, a local Sydney clothing store that supports making sexy clothing for bears and plus-sized men. They are licensed by Australian-made Campaign Limited (many items are 100% made in Australia), use 100% plastic-free packaging, and offer free worldwide shipping for orders over $120 AUD. Every pre-order contributes directly to raising funds for batyr, helping support young people across Australia and reinforcing the message that mental health matters. Sizes are genuinely inclusive, with swimwear and shorts available from Small to 6XL, and Tees and Tanks up to 8XL. If you need something outside these ranges, please reach out to the team at Kris Bee Bacon. They are very approachable and accommodating. The fundraising clothing is designed to be not too long, not too short, just right.

Splash the Stigma:

Jono is also making a splash against Stigma by swimming in various locations. So far, he has done Bondi Icebergs (Sydney, AUS), St Kilda Pool (Melbourne, AUS), Boyd Charlton Pool (Sydney, AUS), and Karanga Plaza Pool (Auckland, NZ). All funds raised through Splash the Stigma will go to batyr to provide life-changing mental health education for young people in schools and universities across Australia.
Every donation of $2 or more is tax-deductible, and he would appreciate your support! Jono’s goal is to reach $ 1,000AUD, so let’s help him out.
