Jonny McGovern Returns with New Episodes of Hey Qween! and Weekly Podcast
Beloved bear personality and BWM cover man Jonny McGovern is once again proving his status as the OG Gay Pimp in two new programs: Hey Qween!, his talk show streaming new episodes now, exclusively on World of Wonder’s SVOD platform WOW Presents Plus and Jonny McGovern is GAY AF, his irreverent weekly podcast show, available on Spotify, Apple and all podcast platforms.
In each Monday’s episode of Hey Qween!, Jonny sits down with the eliminated queen from the previous episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16 for their first TV interview. “Working with World of Wonder gives us access like never before,” Jonny McGovern explains. “The queens go from the main stage to my stage, and the T is piping hot!”
“It’s been a long road to get here but I’m so thrilled to have Hey Qween! back on TV and officially part of the mothership of WOW Presents Plus,” McGovern continues. “It’s bittersweet that my angel, Lady Red, is not here to be a part of it, but I know she is with us and smiling down.”
The late Lady Red Couture was Jonny’s best friend and longtime sidekick on Hey Qween! from the show’s inception on YouTube in 2014. Drag queen Kevin Aviance is taking on Lady Red’s classic opening for the new season. Says McGovern, “Kevin was the diva who sparked my love for the art of drag in my early NYC club days and he and Lady Red loved each other so he was the only person I could imagine filling in for her.”
For fans craving even more dirty gay fun, Jonny McGovern is serving new weekly episodes of his podcast show, Jonny McGovern is GAY AF. It celebrates all things of homosexual interest and features Jonny’s totally queer take on pop culture, the hottest tabloid tales and internet thirst traps. “I missed having a place to speak directly with my fans about the gayest topics,” he explains. Jonny McGovern was one of the first gay podcasters with Gay Pimpin with Jonny McGovern, a show that ran for over ten years.

For those who don’t know, Jonny McGovern’s career in nightlife entertainment began twenty years ago with Dirty Gay Hits, his collection of hilarious gay themed songs that received over five million downloads before YouTube even existed and was added to rotation on MTV. It led to Jonny appearing all over the airwaves: on The Ricki Lake Show, VH1’s Best Week Ever,
Comedy Central’s Out on the Edge, and eventually catching the eye of Rosie O’Donnell, who cast him as a lead player on her LOGO-TV comedy show, The Big Gay Sketch Show alongside Oscar nominee Coleman Domingo and SNL’s Kate McKinnon.
He spent the last seven years touring the world with burlesque legend Dita Von Teese as her emcee, performing for celebrity studded audiences – including Harry Styles, Prince Albert of Monaco and Jean Paul Gautier – in some of the world’s most glamorous venues. In 2022, Jonny McGovern became a TikTok sensation with his song, “Man Areas.” It received over 21 million streams on Spotify and appeared in TikTok videos viewed over twenty million times. Inspired by this huge new musical success, Jonny has recorded a new album of Dirty Gay Hits to be released this summer.
Today, Jonny McGovern is best known for his popular television shows including Look at Huh on Netflix and GoGo for the Gold (second season streaming now on OUTtv).
