What’s hotter than Southern Cali in the summer with a bunch of furry Bears? Not much else! That’s why you head to the Big Bear ROMP, SoCal’s biggest summer leather and gear dance event!
Dance parties, pool parties, and world-class entertainment in the mountains – It all goes down at the Big Bear ROMP from August 17 – 20, 2023. So much going on all weekend! And Big Bear ROMP has all options to make it a weekend all your own, and even offers a sort of “Choose Your Own Adventure” style events itinerary for day events.

Get ready! There’s tons of new men to meet from the moment you arrive, and familiar faces from last year – from hot theme parties to a cool splash in the pool. Dive in – it’s your weekend to ROMP!
The Mischief
Relax, lounge, shop, and enjoy some great eats in town. And in the evening you’ll be sure to find mischief at the welcome party, glow bowling event and ROMP in the Dark leather & gear dance event.
With events such as Cocktails at the Cove, Mountain of Laughs Comedy Night, the Friday Night Wild Things Dance & Mischief Event, the ROMP in the Dark dance event, the Diehards & Stayouts Party, and tons of poll parties, Big Bear ROMP will definitely be a weekend of adventure!

Host Hotel
The host hotel for the Big Bear ROMP will be The Lodge at Big Bear Lake! A 2-minute walk to the Village, this is Big Bear’s largest lodge-like resort with more than 140 guest rooms, each with custom handcrafted furnishings. Many rooms have balconies, and certain rooms feature fireplaces, whirlpool tubs and wet bars.
Amenities include:

- Stillwells Restaurant serving from dawn to dusk
- Stillwells Lounge with Happy Hour specials before, during, and after events

Taylor Williamson
Weekend Headliner for Mountain of Laughs Comedy Event
Taylor Williamson is a comedian and Second Place winner of America’s Got Talent, season 8. He was named one of their 5 favorite acts of all time in their recent 10 year AGT Anniversary Special. He started performing stand-up comedy as a senior in high school in Del Mar, and now lives in Los Angeles and travels around the world telling jokes.
He’s performed at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, and was the youngest comedian to ever perform on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson. He’s also appeared on MTV’s TRL, Comedy Central’s Live At Gotham, Last Call with Carson Daly, and was a semi-finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing. He’s stoked to bring my comedy to new heights at Big Bear ROMP this August!
Chiklet
Host of Saturday Resort Party Host and Bitchy Bingo Brunch
Chiklet hails from The Tin Lizzie Saloon in Costa Mesa, and is excited to bring her outrageous attitude back to Big Bear ROMP for the second year! She’ll host the tomfoolery at the Saturday pool party, and will delight your senses and tickle your balls Sunday morning at the infamous Bitchy Bingo Brunch. Make sure to buy your bingo cards before they sell out!
DJ Mateo Segade
Saturday Pool Party and Leather & Gear Dance Event
Los Angeles-based house music DJ Mateo Segade is a nationally touring DJ known for his playful, energetic and sweeping sets throughout North America and Europe. Residencies include Trixie Mattel’s SOLID PINK DISCO, House of Avalon’s Sugartank, The Boulet Brothers’ Queen Kong, as well as national events for Bearracuda, and pride festivals including DTLA Proud, Summetramp, and The Los Angeles Halloween Ball. By popular demand he’s excited to bring his beats back to Big Bear ROMP!
Phil Lisotta
Phil’s Trivia at Stillwells Cove
FIL TRI-vee-uh! Back again by popular demand, he’s actually crazy enough to return to Big Bear ROMP with MORE trivia. When Phil isn’t harassing old ladies or chasing woodland creatures, he spends his free time sunbathing in the nude with cleverly-placed bathtub decals, and occasionally taunting audiences with creative trivia and witty banter. Join him on Saturday afternoon at the host hotel for an entertaining and hilarious trivia experience you’ll have nightmares about.
