GMCSF’s Pride Concert, ‘Unbreakable & Unstoppable’ is now an official Stonewall Pride Event!

The Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida’s highly anticipated pride concert, Unbreakable and Unstoppable, will be at Sunshine Cathedral in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Friday, June 24 & Saturday June 25, performances at 8:00 pm, 7:30 pm doors open.

Unbreakable & Unstoppable will feature an evening of festive and celebratory music from the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida (GMCSF). It was announced earlier that GMCSF became an Official Event of Stonewall Pride, part of Wilton Manors Stonewall Pride Parade and Street Festival. Tickets are on sale now and cost $53 for premium, $48 for preferred, and $38 for general seating.

A musical chronology of the gay experience in America spanning 120 years of history too long unsung, Unbreakable explores the gay experience in America through the words and music of celebrated composer and lyricist Andrew Lippa. Focusing on a curated selection of stories throughout American LGBTQ history – like Harvard’s “Secret Court” of 1920, the life of transgender and gay activist Sylvia Rivera, The Lavender Scare, the remarkable work of Nobel Peace Prize winner Jane Addams, and others – Unbreakable is a heartrending and ultimately triumphant look at where we’ve been, what we’ve come through, and who we are today.

Most of all, Unbreakable is a tribute to the perseverance and power of a people who would not be defeated and could not be broken. The second half of the concert features an explosion of triumphant gay anthems that have inspired our community to be ourselves on dance floors and in diverse communities across the globe.

GMCSF’s 2022 Pride Concert: Unbreakable & Unstoppable is sponsored in part by Our Fund Foundation, Funding Arts Broward, PNC Bank, AIDS Health Foundation, HotSpots Happening Out Television Network, Wilton Manors Stonewall Pride Parade and Street Festival and the City of Fort Lauderdale.
