Gayming Awards Announce Categories, Public Nominations Are Now Open!
This year sees a new LGBTQ+ Streamer Rising Star Award, as well as categories in Comic Books, Esports and Tabletop Gaming !
The Gayming Awards, the first and only global award ceremony celebrating LGBTQ+ video gaming, are pleased to announce their categories for 2022.
Following on from the success of last year’s inaugural awards, the categories for this year’s Gayming Awards have been expanded to include further elements of geek culture, by introducing awards for Comic Books, Esports and Tabletop Gaming.
This year, in partnership with Twitch, an expert panel of established LGBTQ+ streamers will decide the nominees and winner of the new LGTBQ+ Streamer Rising Star Award. The introduction of this category aims to promote and accelerate the trajectory of an exemplary queer streamer in the space.

This award recognises the best LGBTQ moment in a comic book in 2021.
LGBTQ Tabletop Game Award
This award recognises the best tabletop game with LGBTQ themes
Best LGBTQ Contribution to Esports
This award recognises the contribution of a person or organisation who has done a significant amount of work in promoting, developing and championing diversity in esports.

The Gayming Awards look forward to welcoming all of their guests to walk the red carpet, sponsored by video game publisher Devolver Digital. Your nominations will help decide who will celebrate on the night in the Cooler Master Winner’s Lounge, sponsored by leading PC hardware manufacturer, Cooler Master.
This year’s awards are also supported by: Green Man Gaming, Bandai Namco, Space Ape Games, UKIE, German Games Industry Association, Out Making Games and London Games Festival.
Nominations are now open, everybody can have their say by going to the Gayming Awards Website. Nominations will close on 18th December, ready to be shortlisted.
