February 5th is Working Naked Day!

Hey, you sexy, hunky, hairy bears! What do you have on right now? The answer should be — NOTHING!

If you didn’t already know, February 5 is “Working Naked Day”. That means, if you’re working today, especially if you’re working from home, you shouldn’t be wearing any clothes. Yes, you heard that right. You should be NAKED.

“Working Naked Day” was founded by Lisa Kanarek. She created this day and in fact, along with a brand called Working Naked after she left a corporate job over 20 years ago in order to start working from home. I’m sure Lisa never would have imagined that, 20 years later, a worldwide pandemic would be forcing people all over the world to work from home.

For many, working from home is one of the most comforting things. You get to travel from your home office or bedroom to the kitchen for lunch in just a robe, pajama pants or, preferably NAKED. And now, everyone has the opportunity to experience that freedom!

Lisa also knows Working Naked means different things to different people. It’s more than just about being physically naked. For some, naked just means freedom — so today they decide to take it easy! For others, the thought of working from home leaves them feeling naked. No boss or coworkers to help if something goes awry.

Do you need to spruce up your work space? How about adding a layer of paint. What about putting up your degrees and certifications to clearly show your clients and co-workers how qualified you are. Being naked is about being free and transparent. However you decide to celebrate working naked, make it work for you — and for the rest of us by uploading pics to Instagram and Twitter.
