‘Drag Race Down Under’ Pit Crew features sexy bearded Daddy!

Drag Race gets a little hairy ‘Down Under’!

RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under premiered its first episode this past weekend. The new batch of queens are sickening and an absolute delight — but we also noticed a bit of bearded Pit Crew action!

During the premiere, we spotted some bearded Daddy realness as the queens were testing their acting chops in front of the camera for Ru — and it appeared some of the queens had trouble keeping their eyes from taking a trip Down Under as well. We’ve discovered that the beary sexy #PitCrewDaddy in question is Maxwell Thomas Currie, a gay film and TV writer/director from New Zealand. Currie is also a member of the New Zealand Falcons, a gay and inclusive rugby team.

Drag race has been serving us some glimpses of body diversity recently. Last year, the inclusion of a pleasantly THICC Pit Crew member during the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Canada made headlines. Now, with the inclusion of a bearded Daddy, the franchise seems to be exploring what sexiness looks like outside the ‘Realm of Twink’, and we love to see it! Hopefully this is only the start of even more diversity to come in the future!
