Nonbinary Musician Creep-P Speaks about Gender, Music, and more!
Creep-P speaks with us about their career as a musician, being nonbinary, working with Ayesha Erotica, and headlining the official Gloomy Bear rave!

American electronic musician Creep-P has been causing a stir in the industry with their distinctive sound, and has managed to carve out a place for themselves in the busy electronic music scene by specializing in various electronic music subgenres and pop music. Their dark, contemplative tone and rich soundscapes contrasted with in-your-face aggression and queer self expression make their music beautifully haunting, catchy, and unique. From darker themes to bright soundscapes with light hearted themes, Creep-P’s discography is a wonderfully mixed bag. You never know what you might get when you listen to one of their tracks!
Creep-P has been able to produce a sound that is both recognizable and novel due to their excellent sense of melody and propensity for experimenting. They don’t hesitate to explore the more sinister facets of the human mind in their music, which frequently addresses themes of loneliness, longing, and self-discovery. They also make music that’s aggressive, horny, and extremely queer oriented. Can you see why I like them so much?! Creep-P has been able to reach a growing fan base through their songs who value their distinct approach to electronic and pop music.
Their ability to craft complex soundscapes is extremely astounding, with a discography that is both beautiful, eerie, and infectious to your ears. They recently released a collaborative track with the icon Ayesha Erotica named “BITE ME.” From start to finish, the track gives you whiplash with a high BPM, insane vocal deliveries, and catchy lyrics. Creep-P and Ayesha Erotica are a perfect match for each other sonically, with bombastic instrumental elements and distinctively queer lyrics that are sure to get stuck in your head. Their versatility as a musician is truly unmatched.

As a lyricist, Creep-P is a mastermind. As a producer, Creep-P is a genius. As a vocalist, Creep-P is uniquely distinct. Combine all these elements and you have yourself what every musician strives for.
I had the chance to catch up with Creep-P about their career, live events, and more, check it out below!
Bryce Quartz: Hey there, CreepP, thanks for taking the time to speak with me today! How are you doing lately?
Creep-P: Hey! I’m doing pretty good! Super tired admittedly, been all over the US at this point, and I need a nap… but I’ll nap when I’m dead.
Bryce Quartz: Let’s jump right into it, I want to talk about your beginnings as a musician. When did you start making music?
Creep-P: I started as a small little producer in New Jersey. I was really into the scene kid culture, so I wanted to try to make things like The Millionaires and BrokenCYDE, but it slowly devolved into making Vocaloid music. From there, I made things that were super inspired by the horror scene, using IPs like The Exorcist and Don’t Hug Me, I’m Scared. Recently, I’ve learned that what I was doing back in the day is technically nerdcore? So, I’ll just run with that. Then eventually I just… started doing my own thing.
Bryce Quartz: You have such awesome producing abilities and your vocals go insane on every track! I’m obsessed. Can you tell us a few artists that inspire your sound as an artist?
Creep-P: It ranges immensely! It goes from the indie scene, such Slayyter (is she still considered indie?), That Kid, Gameboi, Ayesha Erotica, FLAVOR FOLEY, to the J-Pop/J-Rock scene Phantom Siita, Machigerita, Reol, to the rhythm game/EDM scene, such as kors k, USAO, DJ Myosuke, TORIENA, Ninajirachi, Ray Volpe, as well as so many of my friends. I have too long of a list to actually read out.
Bryce Quartz: For those that have never heard your music before, can you describe your sound and aesthetic sonically for the readers? What does it give?
Creep-P: Very loud, very in your face. Unapologetic. And it sways from extremely angry, to extremely horny; depending on the song. I’ve heard the phrase that it “itches their brain,” and I still don’t know what people mean by that, but you know what? What the Hell, sure.
Bryce Quartz: We’ve talked about this in person, and I know the gays go crazy for her. You released a song called “BITE ME” featuring Ayesha Erotica, can you tell us a little bit about this track and what it was like working with her? (You can ignore the last part of this question if you want, but if you want to touch on it, you can!)
Creep-P: She was an absolute dream to work with. So, “BITE ME” was produced 2-3 years ago, with the demo chorus already written. I actually pitched the beat to Chase Icon and Ayesha Erotica I believe a year before I decided to take the track for myself (they were super busy, so I expected no response!) I ended up just asking her management, and she was on board! She wrote her verse before I even wrote mine. She was super professional and was on top of everything, which made me and my co-writer, Freeced, giggle, because… what do you mean she wrote her verse before us? We ended up writing the verse shortly after hearing hers.
Bryce Quartz: I really want to see you live, and you have several shows coming up giving me and your fans the opportunity to see you. If it’s someone’s first time seeing you live, what can they expect the experience to be like?
Creep-P: A lot of loud music, and me acting a fool on stage DJing! I do plan on singing and performing my own songs, but I need to seriously choose the right show to do it at. We have an idea of which show (as well as speaking to my label as to where I should do my own headliner shows), but that’ll be my little secret for now.
Bryce Quartz: I am sure with how long you’ve been doing live shows, there has to be some interesting stories or exciting moments throughout your career. I really want the tea! Can you tell us about one of your favorite or craziest moments you’ve had at a live show over the years?
Creep-P: I’ve met some really insane people and Twitch streamers at these shows, especially anime conventions. No… Really, I’ve met random celebrities backstage at shows, and it’s a huge dissonance, mainly because it’s at an anime convention? But, the craziest thing to this date has to be back in 2023, when I was performing alongside Caleb Hyles and ACME. During my set, someone had jumped on stage and had danced around. At first glance, I thought someone backstage decided to do a bit, and only did I realize AFTER she almost knocked down the microphone, that it was a rogue attendee at the barriers. Oh, and I’ve made out with a CEO or two. Oopsie.

Bryce Quartz: Today you are headlining an iconic party at 3 Dollar Bill in Brooklyn for the official Gloomy Bear rave, and I know you LOVE Gloomy Bear. Can you tell us a little bit about this show and why you’re so excited for it?
Creep-P: DO NOT GET ME STARTED. I’m going to say this with my chest: I do not think there is a bigger Gloomy Bear fan then myself. I say that fully. Both as a collector of rare Gloomy Bears, and knowing deep things about Gloomy, from off shoot collaborations to random things MORICHACK (the artist) has done off-handed, I know that Naughty Grizzly like the back of my hand. And I’ve been a fan of Subculture for so long.
I used to attend the Zoom parties when they started during COVID, and was always sad because I could never attend the show, since I live on the east coast (alongside HEAV3N, but I got to play the SOPHIE Tribute show, and also go one time prior to that). So, when I saw that Subculture was doing a Gloomy Bear show here, I immediately started to campaign to play the show. I was quickly put in contact with Gloomy Bear and Subculture within 2 hours of that post, and the deed was done. I may have freaked out so badly (in joy) for like… a full 24 hours.
Bryce Quartz: Let’s get deep for a moment, I want to talk about your experiences as a nonbinary queer person living in this world today. What advice do you have for our readers who may be questioning or identify as nonbinary within the bear community but struggle with it?
Creep-P: So, admittedly, it is a very scary thing. I will be very upfront with that. As a non-binary person, especially nowadays with jokes being made about non-binary people within the LGBTQIA+ scene itself, it’s exhausting. There are things about me that I’ve just given up talking about, because I hate hearing the same few jokes over and over. However, being nonbinary is something I’ve identified with in high school, especially when my love for Japanese fashion started. Gender was never real to me, and I still think the same as I did back in the day.
So, within the bear community, I’ve seen a lot of the same shit as other communities. And I’ll even say, dating in the bear scene? A nightmare, especially as a nonbinary person. I’m generally just exhausted when I have to explain to someone about my identity, when it genuinely never affects anyone other than myself. I’ve met so many lovely people in the bear scene however, but I’ve met some ROTTED individuals who hide behind representation just to be, excuse my wording, a fucking nasty cunt. Also, to the bear/gay scene: please start booking queer, non-white bears/people in general please. Trust me, you are absolutely missing out.

Bryce Quartz: Now, let’s take a breather! This is one of my favorite questions to ask lately, and you’ve already shared your answer with me in person, but for the readers, tell us some of your favorite restaurants or bars in NYC. I and the readers who visit NYC need the recs!
Creep-P: Oh my God, please go to Rosie Pizza Bar in Brooklyn. They have this pizza called the Devil’s Pie, which has jalapeños, hot honey, mozzarella, and something else I can’t think of. It’s one of the best pizza spots. Also, go to Lucky Cat in Manhattan! They’re an izakaya-styled place, and I always go there for their karaage (fried chicken) and mochi mentai (pounded rice cakes, topped with kewpie mayo/metaiko egg hybrid). It’s some of my favorite things.
Bryce Quartz: I want to know what you’re up to next, what can we expect from you in the coming months as a musician? Spill the deets if you can, I want to scoop!
Creep-P: I have a surprise single coming out soon. I don’t want to tell you TOO much, because it would ruin the surprise. But, when it’s ready, it’ll drop! Then shortly after, I have something kind of BIG to drop… Also, so many collaborations at hand. Dream collaborations, with people even I thought were impossible to get a hold of. But, we’ll find that all out on a later date.
Bryce Quartz: Thanks for taking the time to speak with me today, CreepP! Anything you’d like to say and leave our readers with?
Creep-P: Thank you for having me! To all of you, please follow me on all of my socials at @ItsCreepP. I’ll be performing TONIGHT in Brooklyn, NY at 3 Dollar Bill for the Gloomy Bear x Subculture show! I’m also opening for The Living Tombstone in October, as well as doing so many shows all over the US and Canada! But, in order to see those, got to follow me on Instagram. Trust me, there’s so much music to come out. But you got to tune in to find out. And if you’re a hot bear (especially covered in tattoos and piercings), know that my DMs can and WILL be open.
