Couples That Met on GROWLR to be Featured in Happy Endings Initiative

GROWLR has announced that they will start featuring couples that have met through the app on their Instagram feed via an initiative called Happy Endings: Beary Tales Can Come True! Read on for additional information.

As bears we are all familiar with GROWLR and most all of us have used it and love it! And as much as people joke about how the app is a great tool for finding Mr. Right Now, it is also the place where many long-term couples have met. That’s right gents, romance is not dead and GROWLR is here to prove it.

Through an initiative called “Happy Endings: Beary Tales Can Come True!” GROWLR is going to start featuring real life bear couples on their Instagram feed who have met through their platform.

Senior Marketing Director Phil Henricks told us:

“Over the summer I was introduced to a very sweet and loving couple through one of my oldest friends. The couple had been together for over two years and had a very committed and serious long-distance relationship. One guy lives in Upstate New York and the other in the UK. We got to talking about how and where they met, and they informed me it was via GROWLR. Needless to say, I was thrilled to hear this!”

These guys aren’t the only couple to have met through GROWLR of course, in fact Phil hears about such pairings all the time, as do we to be perfectly honest.

“Over the years we have heard from countless happy couples who have met on GROWLR and I took this chance encounter as an opportunity to shine a light on these happy couples” Phil shared. “With so much negativity in the world, and in the news, sometimes we all need a “feel good” story. Relationships can be tricky and gay ones often come with additional challenges, so I admire all the happy couples out there regardless of where they have met, but of course, we have a special place in our furry heart for those who have met on GROWLR.”

He’s right of course. With things as they are we all need a pick me up. And hopefully for all the bears looking for love out there, this will serve as a source of inspiration. It is easy to get jaded which is why it is so important to know that finding love on an app like GROWLR is possible.
