Club Chub NYC presents: The Pink Party
Club Chub has become a staple of LA nightlife, but it has slowly and steadily spread beyond the City of Angels to include club nights in Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, San Francisco and New York City, to name a few.
After two massively successful showings in NYC, Club Chub returns to The Cutting Room (44 E 32nd St) on January 21with The Pink Party! Bryce Quartz will return to host the festivities, this time featuring the beats of DJ Nobl3 B3ar and sexy gogo dancers Danny J, Nerkolaus, Kxng Jayy, Mel The Sumo and Poppy J Snacks who will be shaking their ‘assets’ to help hype up the adoring crowd of chubs, chasers and bears that the party attracts. Will Shargo of Spare Ink will be in attendance as well with a pop up tattoo shop and fresh designs for those craving some ink.
The event will also feature a very special performance from Bear World Magazine’s Musician of the Year and The Voice alumnus Nakia:
“I’ve spent the last year having mad FOMO watching all my friends having a blast at Club Chub in LA, so when they asked me to play a set in NYC it was an immediate yes. I can’t wait to get out on the dance floor and party with the big boys at Cutting Room. Oh, and I’m looking forward to singing songs off my upcoming album – which is a whole new vibe for me.”
While Nakia’s presence will no doubt boost numbers for the NYC event, it should be pointed out that Club Chub has been growing consistently each time it’s been held which begs the question as to if there are plans for a permanent NYC residency. To find out we went to Gregg Paz, Club Chub’s producer who said:
“I am working with The Cutting Room to do Club Chub either bimonthly or 4 times a year. I love to do the event during the day, and it’s really hard to find establishments that don’t already have an event already on Sunday afternoons. The Cutting Room has been great to work with.”
You heard it here first boys! We will of course keep you posted with developments as they happen. We’re also thrilled to report plans to expand Chub Club further than ever before in 2024. Says Gregg:
“This year we are already booked at The Lumbaryard in Seattle on Feb. 17th and The Iron Bear in Austin TX in April. I’m also looking for host bars in Chicago and Denver as well.”
