Celebrate Bear Pride and Help Select the new Mr. Bear Czechia in Prague This Spring!
Did you ever want to experience Springtime in Prague? Well bears, now’s your chance! The Prague Bears are preparing to welcome their furry brethren to the capital of the Czech Republic for Bear Pride and the Mr. Bear Czechia contest!
Taking place between May 18-21, the Prague Bears have arranged numerous parties, gatherings and outings to get everyone nice and ready to pick a new Mr. Bear Czechia!
The jury for the contest will feature a virtual who’s who of the European bear scene including: Thomas, Mr. Bear Austria 2022/2023, Michal, Mr. Bear Poland 2023, Abraham, Mr. Bear Israel 2022, Pedro, Mr. Bear Czechia 2022, Finiji, Miss Drag Czechia 2023, Lluís, the Director of Bear Sitges and Jérôme, Mr. Bear Europe 2019. To qualify, contestants for Mr. Bear Czechia must be 18 years of age, spend at least half the year in the Czech Republic, and must be an active member of the bear community. The winner agrees to represent the Czech Republic in the International Mr. Bear Contest, represent the country in at least two events abroad and four events at home, plus the winner also agrees to organize their own event which they will be responsible to host.

Mingle and meet your new friends as you pick up your Bear Pride Czechia Packages at Restaurace Kotelna.
Friday 5/19/2023
3:00 PM – 6:00 PM Sauna David with Mr. Bear Czechia
The official sauna gathering of the event. Now it’s really time to greet the meat!
9:00 PM – 4:00 AM BIGGER vol.17: The Mr. Bear Czechia Warm-Up Party
The official warm up party for the Mr. Bear Czechia Contest at Heaven Praha

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM Czech Bear Pride- Prague4Gay Walking Tour
Meet-up at 11:00AM in front of Hybernia Theatre for a 3-hour walking tour of Prague’s highlights and LGBT+ history. You will see all the important buildings and architectural styles of Prague’s city center and learn about the historical, social and cultural factors which shaped the city and its society from a LGBT+ perspective.
Petr, who will lead the tour, is a fully licensed and qualified gay guide who is running Prague4Gay with an English partner, providing services for all LGBT+ visitors to Prague and their friends since 2005.
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Czech Bear Pride – Early Bears Warm-Up Party
Official pre-party before the election of the new Mr. Bear Czechia at Restaurace Kotelna.
8:30 PM – 4:00 AM Mr. Bear Czechia 2023 – Election Night
