XXL London venue to reopen as LGBTQ-inclusive theatre and workspace

Once home to London’s most popular bear night, the venue in Southwark is set to be reopened following a £1.5m commitment from the local council to redevelop the former site of the failed club to create a new LGBTQ+ venue featuring a theatre and workspace. The venue has laid empty since it originally closed in 2019 following a period of drama for the club including the very public fallout from the controversy surrounding its overly strict men-only door policy.
