Anthony meets Kim Wilde
“Anthony Meets” Series 2 has kicked off in style! I had the honor of a zoom chat with one of the most iconic, and quite frankly, loveliest pop stars of the 1980s: Kim Wilde!
Kim Wilde is one of the most adored female artists of the ’80s. The voice of a generation of rebellious youth, Wilde’s punchy vocals and look of the moment, lit up dancefloors and airwaves around the world.
She was, is, and remains a media darling, especially in the UK where she is also a DJ and television presenter. Everyone wants to know about Kim! As popular today as ever, this style and music icon is still performing at her finest.
In 2020 Kim was set to celebrate her 40-year career with an epic tour, but it was postponed and rescheduled due to the pandemic. Now, the Kim Wilde: The Greatest Hits Tour will dazzle us in Autumn 2022. Her Pop Don’t Stop Greatest Hits album release is out now!
Featuring hit singles from 1981 to 2020, Kim’s Greatest Hits Tour will be an unmissable event with live performances of her classics such as her debut hit single “Kids In America,” which all but topped the charts when it was released in 1981; “Hangin’ On,” “You Came,” and other less often-heard hits like “A Million Miles Away” and “Love Is Holy.” This is going to be the definitive Kim Wilde show.
As with all Kim’s live performances, the lighting and sound is always first class, with stunning visuals, and of course the most exciting band in the business including her legendary two drummers! Kim’s special guests on this tour are the amazing China Crisis who were fellow chart toppers in the ’80s with hits such as “Wishful Thinking” and “King in a Catholic Style.”
