Get ready for a fantastic weekend filled with bear-tastic events and, of course, plenty of hugs. Just as you’d expect from bears!
Sponsored and organized with the support of Bear-Necessity, DirQ, Bears Amsterdam, and Eagle Amsterdam as well as various hospitality entrepreneurs, the goal is to collectively bring more attention to the Dutch bear scene, provide a platform for other initiatives, hospitality entrepreneurs, and charities to showcase themselves to the bear community over the course of a weekend.
Bear-Necessity will be hosting the main event, which will be an unforgettable night full of dancing, lots of music from a few different DJs, and plenty of sweaty fun. Find more details below!

Mr. Lumberjack 2026 Bear Nailing Competition
All weekend long you’ll be able to swing your hammer in our iconic nail-slam game and go for the glory — and the shiny Golden Hammer!
Every day from June 11th through the 14th, you can enter the prelims, with one winner each day.
Sunday, the four daily champs face off in the grand final. Compete, cheer on your friends, or just come watch who nails it best!

Mr. Bear Netherlands 2026 – Meet The Candidates!
On June 12, 2026, we will choose a new Mister Bear Netherlands! And of course you want to know which candidate you should vote for. That is why there is a meet-and-greet with all candidates, so that you can hear, see, smell and who knows, even taste them! And of course you can also enjoy a drink with all the other bears and enthusiasts.
Thursday on June 11th, from 8pm in Eagle Amsterdam.

Election Mr. Bear Netherlands 2026
The Mr. Bear Netherlands 2026 election will take place on Friday, June 12th.
This evening will be a spectacular celebration of the bear community, with amazing candidates vying for the coveted title of Mister Bear Netherlands 2025. Who will succeed Arthur and become the new Mister Bear Netherlands? You have the chance to vote and make your decision!
And to make the evening even more special, we have the fantastic Dora Royale as our hostess for the evening. She will fill the evening with her energetic presence and unparalleled charisma!
This will be a unique opportunity to come together and enjoy the atmosphere of Akhnaton Amsterdam. Don’t miss this chance to be part of an amazing bear event and make new friends!

Bear Bash – ABP 2026 Election Night Afterparty
Surprise! Bear Bash is back with a special edition for Amsterdam Bear Pride.
Join us for the OFFICIAL Mr. Bear Netherlands afterparty at Eagle Amsterdam. We’ll be open from 21:00 as usual, with FREE entrance, snacks and all that good stuff. Come and meet local bears, the ones who travelled in, and most importantly: Mr. Bear Netherlands 2026 himself.
Bear Bash is an event where it doesn’t matter if you have a hairy chest or a hairy soul. We’re for all bear, and bear-minded guys. Bear Bash has two phases: We start out with Beary Bar with lower music, for you to meet and talk, and then transition into Party Bear, where you can dance and cruise.
Bear Bash is by the community for the community. Come and join us for hairy beary fun.

The Hairy Ferry
As part of Amsterdam Bear Pride, Bear Bash and Eagle Amsterdam are taking over the canals on Saturday, June 13th 14:00 to 16:00, for a relaxed, two-hour cruise through the heart of the city.
Please be at the Dock at latest 13:45, we leave at 14:00! – + Free welcome drink on board. We’re swapping the crowded streets for the open water, inviting bears, cubs, and chubs to kick back and take in the best views of Amsterdam from June 13th 14:00 to 16:00.

Bear-Necessity: Amsterdam Bear Pride Edition
For the main event, get ready for the one night where the global bear family and the Dutch bear community come together in full force for a celebration. This is where connections spark, bodies move, and confidence shines. A space where pride, body positivity, and freedom take over the dance floor and everyone is invited to be exactly who they are… or whoever they feel like to be!
With DJ Sergio, DJ Be-Rik, and guest DJ AM3D along with visuals by Jeremy from Alexetjeremy, expect pumping tech-house beats that hit deep, keeping the energy high and the crowd moving. Feel the heat rise with hot gogo dancers from our community, stunning visuals, and a vibe that’s equal parts sweaty, playful, and electric.
