An interview with Thick Angel, one of the latest thick adult model who’s broken through into the mainstream adult media industry!

The adult media industry has been around for decades, providing safe spaces for people to embrace human nature and enjoy the content they’re viewing. Adult media has also been a core foundation for queer liberation too, giving representation to us as consumers and normalizing sexuality outside of the cishet (cisgender-heterosexual) norm.

At some point or another, I think it’s safe to say that most of us have consumed adult media, but early on in the industry, bigger guys were featured far and few in between. As time went on, underground studios for bears and chubs took shape to fill those gaps, giving us representation in a market that didn’t prioritize those that looked like us.

Over the last decade, it has become easier for everyone to publish their own personally made adult content through social media platforms such as Tumblr and Twitter. Then came platforms like OnlyFans and JustForFans making it easy to self monetize that content, creating a booming market outside of professional studios. These moments in adult media history have also helped normalize representation across the board with different fetishes, body sizes, and more.

This boom hasn’t stopped the market for professionally made studio adult content though, and if anything, has proved to them that there’s a gap in what they produce. There’s clearly a demand in the market for bigger guys to be featured, and many of those studios have started filling those gaps for us.

With all of that said, meet Thick Angel, one of the latest adult models filling that gap in the mainstream adult media space. His content is hot, sexy, fun, and necessary in furthering the representation we deserve in the adult content we consume!

After one scroll through his social media, it will become clear that it would be hard not want to see more. Not to mention, his perspectives on the industry and his experience are quite revealing and something we can all learn from.

I had the honor and privilege of interviewing him about getting into adult media, becoming a mainstream adult studio model, and more. Check it out below!

Bryce Quartz: Hey there, Thick Angel! Thanks for taking the time to speak with me. How have you been doing lately?

Thick Angel: Hey Bryce, thanks for having me! I’m excited to answer your questions. I have been doing great, but very grateful to be busy, thanks for asking!

Bryce: Let’s get right into the fun stuff. Can you tell us where you’re from and how long you’ve been an adult model?

Thick Angel: I am from Montréal, Canada, and I started doing content in 2024, so it’s been two years, and I haven’t looked back!

Bryce: You recently started working with men.com, which is amazing! What has that experience been like for you?

Thick Angel: It’s been amazing to work with such a household name in the industry. I’ve been enjoying it a lot; it is always exciting to collaborate with my co-stars and the team on set. I love having fun, performing, and making magic happen. Shoutout to MEN! Love you guys!

Bryce: Many of our readers and I think it’s really hot to see bigger bodies in adult media, but it’s also important to the community to see people like us represented in mainstream adult studios too. Can you share why you think it’s important to have larger bodies seen in mainstream adult media?

Thick Angel: One of the reasons why I wanted to start working in adult entertainment is that I wanted to see myself in mainstream porn to represent bigger guys. Show by example to other guys like me that we belong, we are hot, attractive, that we deserve to take up space and be visible. A fellow MEN model, Santana XXL, really inspired me to shoot my shot and here I am!

Bryce: I believe that seeing larger bodies in adult media can help improve the mental health of those who live in them. Can you expand on that and tell us how body image impacts mental health?

Thick Angel: This career path has been very empowering for me. Initially, I started posting content with a “fake it till you make it” mindset, putting on a sexy and fearless persona. My weight has been a personal struggle since childhood—I’ve been skinnier and I’ve been bigger, but I was never truly satisfied.

When the pandemic started, I gradually put on weight, which brought up old insecurities. One day, I decided I was tired of letting negative thoughts lead my life. Since then, my goal has been to lean into radical self-acceptance, self-compassion, and living in the present. Becoming Thick Angel and being vulnerable on the internet has helped me find a new level of confidence.

Bryce: Sexual activity comes with the responsibility of sexual health, which can intimidate many people. Is there anything you’d like to share that can help demystify being sexually active and the misconceptions about maintaining sexual health?

Thick Angel: The most important part is education, go out there learn about sexual health and particularly how it relates to queer history with the HIV/AIDS crisis! There are so many resources online and clinics where professionals can answer your questions. I understand it can be daunting, but I believe ignorance is fear and knowledge is power; there is absolutely no reason to be afraid once you understand the facts.

My other suggestion is to be patient with yourself, you will not understand everything at once, and it is totally fine. Even now, I am still learning. Staying curious and playful has helped me make the subject much lighter and fun!

Bryce: You are such a sexy and handsome model, I really love the content that you share and the confidence you exude in it! Do you have any advice for anyone interested in doing adult media who might be too scared to pursue it?

Thick Angel: Thank you so much, Bryce! You’re making me blush! If it’s something that’s been on your mind, I’d say just go for it! Remember to have fun and stay authentic to who you are and what you like sexually too. I believe viewers are more inclined to consume your content if they can see you are actually having fun.

I’d also suggest checking in with yourself regularly to examine your limits and comfort levels. This work requires a lot of energy, so it is mandatory to do those check-ins so that you keep enjoying what you do!

Bryce: This is one of my favorite questions to ask everyone, and not just because I’m hungry all the time! What are some of your favorite foods, dishes, or restaurants that you’d recommend?

Thick Angel: I live in Montréal, so I have to mention our world-famous poutine: fries, gravy, and cheese curds! I love varieties of poutines such as breakfast poutine with eggs, bacon, sausage, veggies, or “Italian” poutine with meat sauce.

There is also a restaurant called Poulet Rouge that makes amazing bowls—it has been my “dopamine meal” for the last two years. They even do a poutine version of their bowl which is a must-try!

Bryce: Outside of being a handsome and sexy adult model, what are some of your hobbies and interests?

Thick Angel: My first love is fashion and costuming. I work in that field making garments for drag artists, musicians, wrestlers, etc. My work has been seen on television and world stages, with much more to come!

I also love playing classic video games like Pokémon, Mario Kart, and Zelda. I enjoy hanging out with friends, trying new restaurants, and going out for non-alcoholic drinks with my recovery friends. Recently, I’ve also returned to hot yoga, which helps me manage anxiety while improving my stamina and flexibility.
