5 Daddy Bears Heating up our TV Screens this Fall

It’s our favorite time of the year at Bear World Magazine, not only for cooler temperatures, baked treats and flannel but because of the fall TV lineup. This year there is an exciting new assortment of shows to choose from, many featuring scruffy studs and daddy bears. Check out five of our favorite leading men this season, all giving new meaning to saying ‘must see tv’. And while not all of these hunks are gay, they’re all dashing and woofable. Happy watching!

Zachary Quinto

Beloved gay actor and scruffy heartthrob Zachary Quinto returns to our screens as Dr. Oliver Wolf in Brilliant Minds, a show in which Quinto and his fictional staff find innovative ways to help patients with complex neurological disorders. Check it out on NBC and Peacock.

Sean Patton

Sean Patton is the bearded beauty starring opposite out actor Brian Jordan Alvarez in English Teacher, a new comedy on FX and Hulu about a gay high school English teacher trying to make a difference in his students’ lives. Patton has quickly caught the attention of the bear community (for obvious reasons) as the lovable ally and gym teacher Markie Hillridge. Patton is a stand up comedian who can be seen on the road or on his comedy specials streaming on Peacock and YouTube.

Liev Schreiber

The strapping Liev Schreiber stars as Tag Winbury as the adulterous husband of Nicole Kidman in The Perfect Couple, a new Netflix murder mystery about a well to do family in Nantucket. Schreiber is as dashing and handsome as ever and worth the price of admission for this show.

Damon Wayans

Silver daddy Damon Wayans returns to sitcoms starring opposite his son in Poppa’s House, a new series from CBS set to debut on October 21. Wayans stars as the happily-divorced talk-radio host Poppa who is challenged at work by a new female co-host while still parenting his adult son, who is trying to pursue his passion while being a good father and husband.

Rossif Sutherland

Woofy Rossif Sutherland plays Karl Alberg who moves to a quiet coastal town to soothe his psyche that has been battered by big-city police work, but finds himself needing to call upon all his skills to solve the murders that continue to wash up on his shore.Rugged, handsome and intelligent – yes please!! Catch the show on Fox and streaming on Hulu.
