2025 Nissan Armada: It’s Big Boy

The 2025 Nissan Armada comes with plenty of style and class – and enough room for at least five bears or up to 90 cubic feet of cargo space.

Make no mistake, the Armada is a beast, much like that misunderstood snow monster in the stop-motion Rudolph the Red Nosed-Reindeer, who was also unfortunately called an ‘abomination’ instead of his chosen name Bumble. Yes, we can relate.

The Armada is also a kind, friendly, gentle soul that, true, needs to be pampered but can take you, your friends and all your largess anywhere you want, anytime you want.

(For your listening enjoyment, here is one of my holiday favorites, a mambo version of Rudolph.)

This year, the Armada has been fully redesigned, and it shows. It looks a lot less bulky and is smoother and more curvaceous.  Yet to me, now it looks like all the other cars on the road.  There is nothing pronounced about it.  And that may be the point.  Less intimidating, more family friendly.

U.S. News and World Report says the Armada “isn’t the most graceful vehicle on the road” (and as Bears, we know about not being very graceful in public). The website adds, “but it handles admirably considering its hefty size.” (Again, how many times have we as Bears been complimented like that?)

Continuing, they also comment how it is “direct and well-weighted” (talking about its steering) “though it can feel a bit artificial.”  Wow, have they been to a few Bear parties or what?

This Armada is indeed a powerhouse: every vehicle come with a 3.5-liter 6-cylinder twin-turbo offering 425 horsepower – and trust me, you will need it.

Rear-Wheel Drive is standard, and I hate that.  RWD is really only good if you are Drag Racing (ya know, burning rubbers) but it’s terrible in any area affected by climate change.  4-Wheel Drive is offered on higher trims, and IMHO you will definitely need it.

Before you buy, make sure you can afford the maintenance (average miles per gallon is 16) and that you have a nice big garage where you can park it.  This is considered a large SUV, so when even the pros consider it large, well…..

And one more thing: if you have a ‘cozy’ little home in the city with few amenities, this vehicle is not for you.  Most Bears (I feel) would love to climb inside such a beast, so perhaps, at least, you should car hire an Armada at some point.

Summertime is still in the air, at least in the Northern Hemisphere.  Down Under, it’s a lot cooler.

Make sure you are dressed for the occasion, whatever it may be.   And stay hydrated.

Nothing worse than a bunch of dry Bears.
