2025 Audi Q7: The Big Bear Vehicle that impresses
Big, bold and beautiful (sung to the tune of Big Blonde and Beautiful from Hairspray) is how I would describe the 2025 Audi Q7.
It really does have everything except the common man’s practicality and economy.
This car is a winner all the way around, according to my go-to source U.S. News and World Report. This year’s Q7 offers a “sumptuous interior, smooth ride and advanced tech” but comes up a wee bit short in terms of cargo (for the class) and people space, given that there is third row. But for four Bears, well, boys, pack your designer luggage and hit the (paved) road.
This is truly a top-tier Luxury Midsize vehicle, right up there with the Mercedes GLE and the BMW X5. Yet these cars truly are only for Bears who have a solid financial footing – I shudder to think of what financing any of these vehicles would cost. (Keep in mind that once you drive it off the lot, on average a vehicle loses 25% of its sticker value).
With tariffs in place, who knows how high prices will go, but for now, you might be able to find a brand-new Q7 on dealer lots for starting at $60K US. Hopefully.
For all that hard-earned cash, you will get a 4-cylinder turbo offering 261 horses (a more powerful V6 with 335 horses is available).

Plenty of room and luxury abound inside the cabin, but for this audience, I would avoid using the 3rd row of seats. There is just 14 cubic feet of cargo space when the 3rd row seats are up, and there is a total cargo space of almost 70 cubic feet when you put the 2nd row of seats down.
The tech was a breeze to operate, even for Simple Minds like mine (yes, that was a 1980s Breakfast Club reference). Plenty of buttons and knobs. No need to learn how to speak clearly so Siri can still screw it up; just let your fingers do the walking (ouch, now you know how old I really am – but I don’t yet need a phonebook under my arse just to see over the dashboard).
Again, if you’ve got the money, honey, you should check out the 2025 Q7. Plenty of room for you and three of your friends.
Now, back to the real world: I can no longer hold my tongue because on so many levels (especially new cars), Trump is destroying everything he touches, including the United States.
200% tariffs on steel and aluminum?? There goes the American car industry. And that’s just one area where I am overly concerned.

Many pundits and politicians are wondering if we are in Constitutional Crisis. No fekking shite, we are in Constitution Crisis! Trump is clearly not obeying court orders. Next thing you know, we could be arrested and sent away for attending Gay Pride and talking with someone from the Middle East. The Brown University professor who was sent to Lebanon is a prime example of what could easily happen to us.
I gotta stop. I am not seeing an end to this crap, and I don’t see a resolution just short of a few choice option.
We are talking about cars here. Only cars.
And things were running so smoothly when the old Irish Catholic named Joe Biden was at the wheel……
