14th annual Midwest Leather Weekend to be held in St. Louis

From October 4-6, the 14th annual Midwest Leather Weekend will take place October 5-7 at JJ’s Clubhouse & Bar in St. Louis, Missouri. The focus of the weekend will be the Mr. Midwest Leather and Midwest Puppy Contests, which will be held Saturday night, October 5 at 11:00 p.m. 

Both contests are open to members of the leather and pup communities who reside in any of the thirteen Midwestern states – Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Michigan, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin. The weekend consists of many social events that are inclusive and designed to unite all members of the leather and kink communities, whether experienced or beginning, LGBTQ or straight. 

The many events of the weekend will include the Friday night Meet and Greet, the Saturday afternoon seminars, and the Saturday night Midwest Leather and Puppy contests, which will all be held at JJ’s Clubhouse & Bar.

The kink seminars, in which leading experts in the leather an kink communities will offer classes and demonstrations on selected kink topics, as well as the Friday night Meet and Greet are both free and open to the public. Admission to the contest is $10.  

On Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Bar PM will host the catered Judges’ Dinner at 6917 South Broadway. Tickets for the event are $14 a person, which includes a full meal and cocktail. 

On Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m., Sushi Ai will host the Midwest Leather Weekend Victory Brunch. Information on menu items and pricing will be released at a later date.

Kyle Jackson (He/Him) is Senior Staff Writer at Gray Jones Media, and additionally works as a writer, editor and theatre artist/actor.
