Watch the trailer for the final season of groundbreaking LGBTQ drama ‘Pose’!
Pull out the tissues, because season 3 of Pose will definitely cause the waterworks!
Since 2018, FX’s groundbreaking, Emmy Award-winning drama Pose has been solidifying its place in LGBTQ television history by becoming the first network television series to primarily feature Trans women of color. Now, it has been announced that the groundbreaking show will come to an end with its third season.
The third season will also be the shortest season to date with only seven episodes, down from the usual eight and ten episodes in previous seasons. The final season will debut Sunday, May 2, at 10 p.m. with two episodes, and the season will end on June 6.
“We got to tell the exact story we wanted, as we wanted to tell it, and I’m incredibly honored and grateful,” co-creator Ryan Murphy said in a statement to the Hollywood Reporter.
We are sad to see Pose go, but we know this isn’t the last LGBTQ-themed show we’ve seen from the creators. The Hollywood Reporter states that co-creator Steven Canals has signed a deal with 20th Television and is already prepping another LGBTQ-themed series for FX. However, we’ll still miss Pose!
