Foundation is coming to Apple TV+, and we are excited to see queer representation on television once again!
Apple TV+ dropped the first trailer for its new series Foundation — and out queer actor Lee Pace will be portraying the Galactic Emperor, leader of the Cleons — a group of emperor clones.
According to Out Magazine, the series, based on Isaac Asimov’s critically acclaimed novel of the same name, follows The Foundation, a “band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it.” Yes, all you fellow Sci-Fi geeks, this show will be everything your hearts desire!
Deadline reported that the series will follow Dr. Hari Seldon (Jared Harris), the one who predicts the fall of the empire and assembles a crew of sidekicks to “attempt to rebuild and preserve the future of civilization.”
Just by looking at the trailer, you can tell that it has everything true Sci-Fi fans will love: action, adventure, suspense, thrills and lots of cool outer space shots. And the fact that there’s an out actor starring in the series makes it even more of a treat for queer audiences. This show will undoubtedly be a hit!
The series, which will feature a 10-episode season, drops on Apple TV+ on September 24!
