Take the U.S. Trans Survey pledge
It’s the largest, community-led survey of trans people in the United States!
The first U.S. Trans Survey took place in 2015. It was a groundbreaking study, highlighting the diversity, challenges, and resiliency of the trans community. It covered a range of issues and provided critical information for advocates, policy makers, educators, the general public, and others. You can learn more about the 2015 survey and find the reports here!
It’s time to collect updated data! The 2022, the survey is set to come out in just a matter of months. We want to make sure you know about this important survey–and pledge to take it. From health care to housing to income and employment and everything in between, we know very well that trans rights are under attack.
That’s why Transhealth Northampton is working with the National Center for Transgender Equality and Hundreds of other trans organizations and advocates to ensure that every trans person in the country knows about and takes the survey. This major endeavor can very much shape and change lives for the better, and they hope they can count you in.
When the survey is released, the USTS team will send you a link to enter the survey at the email address you provided when you signed the pledge!
In the meantime, here are two action items you can participate in:
- Please tell your trans friends and family about the survey too! This survey is for every trans person age 16 and up living in the United States and U.S. territories. They’re working to help make sure as many trans folks as possible know about the survey, especially folks who are BIPOC, older, HIV+, and living in rural areas.
- If you’re on social media follow the USTS Facebook for regular updates and share USTS related content on your channels. They’ll also keep you in the loop too.
