Step Into Burlesque with the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida
The Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida (GMCSF) is hosting its signature fall fundraiser, The Chic & Unique Ball: Step Into Burlesque, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. This glamorous event, presented by CAN Community Health, promises a night of music, burlesque, and community celebration to support GMCSF’s mission of inspiring audiences and affirming our common humanity through music.
This year’s ball is chaired by Erick Eldridge, Director of Special Events for Seminole Hard Rock and a member of the GMCSF Board of Directors. “Step Into Burlesque is about stepping boldly into our truth, supporting one another, and having a fabulous time while doing it,” said Eldridge.
A Night of Music, Glamour, and Giving Back
The evening begins with a red-carpet welcome and a special VIP reception featuring performances by GMCSF Artistic Director Gabe Salazar and singer-songwriter Matt Alber. Guests can enjoy a silent auction, open-bar cocktails, and a three-course dinner, followed by a live auction hosted by Whitney Dutton. The main dinner show will showcase a powerful and entertaining performance by the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida. The night will conclude with an after-party at the iconic Guitar Hotel pool, complete with live entertainment and the dazzling Guitar Light Show.
Honoring Community Champions
GMCSF will honor two key partners at this year’s event. The Bears of South Florida will receive the Douglas Jackson Pew Community Leadership Award for their dedication as mission champions for the Chorus. CAN Community Health, the event’s Diamond Sponsor, will be presented with GMCSF’s Corporate Crescendo Award for their significant impact within the organization and the broader community.

Proceeds from the evening directly support GMCSF’s performances and outreach programs, which amplify LGBTQ+ voices through music and community engagement.
- VIP Admission ($500 per person or $5,000 per table of ten): Includes VIP reception, prime dinner seating, exclusive performances, and private cabana access at the after-party.
- Premium Admission ($300 per person or $3,000 per table of ten): Includes red-carpet arrival, premium dinner seating, open bar, and access to the after-party.
Guests will also have the chance to bid on incredible live auction experiences, including a luxury cruise from Panama to Belize and an adventure for two in Iceland.
