See Why Bears are Heading to South Jersey for the Fall.

It’s been a very hot summer, and now we can finally open the windows, and shut off the AC. So, you know what that means, it’s time to go apple picking, cider drinking, and feasting on pies and donuts! Just me? Ok well, there’s all this and more going on across South Jersey all autumn long! Check out our list of amazing fall festivities to enjoy with those you love below!

This is the perfect season to pick your own produce, apples of course are the core, (see what I did there) but you can pick all kinds of produce at Hill Creek Farms, in Mullica Hill. They have apples, of course, as well as pumpkins, sunflowers, and tons of other produce. You can also taste wines from the amazing Auburn Road Winery and grab perfect baked goods.

For a corn maze and plant nursey head over to Springdale Farm Market in Cherry Hill. Don’t miss Johnsons Farm Medford, for great family activities, great value and produce at Specca Farms Bordentown. For amazing cut flowers, you have to head to Wards Farm in Mannington Township, where all the flowers are field grown. For one of the coolest Corn Mazes, you just can’t miss Coombs Barnyard in Elmer.

If you are not the type to pick your own, then head to a market where you can find all you need ready to purchase. We love Collingswood – Clover Markets with a carefully curated selection of vendors with handcrafted treasures and vintage finds. Find them at various locations in PA. and in NJ at Collingswood.

Duffield’s Farm & Market in Sewell has a long history going back almost 100 years. They now have a deli, and a great bakery with the best donuts around. Mood’s Farm Market in Mullica Hill, gives you the best of both worlds with great fruit picking and a great produce market – oh and wonderful hayrides!

Also in Sewell you will find Zimmerman’s Country Market. They have a huge Farmers Market, Bake Shop, and Garden Center, and evening campfire hayrides. In Haddon you cannot miss the Harvest Maker’s Market at the Square, November 2, an open-air bazaar featuring various local artists and makers, selling premium hand-crafted creations at Haddon Square located in the heart of downtown Haddon.

In addition to regular fruit picking and markets, there are a multitude of amazing events all around South Jersey. For instance, what’s fall without some candles? If you want to make your own head down to the Bellview Winery Fall Candle Class at the Bellview Winery where you can sip wine and make your own long burning candles. For a different combination, how about Yoga and Wine? I mean if only every Yoga class came with wine, I’d go a lot more often! Again at the Bellview Winery – check out their site for Wine talks and Halloween cake decorating too.

For a great night out at the movies in the open-air head to Spooky Movie Night on the Square in Haddon oct 25. And the Day After on the 26th, it’s the Boos + Brews Crawl O’Ween Pub Crawl and Haunted Haddon Market in Haddon Township. In Haddon Square on the 30th don’t miss the Halloween Magic Show. Join everyone there prior to the big parade (76th Annual Westmont Lions Club Parade on Haddon Ave.) for a family friendly Halloween Magic Show featuring Matt Cadabra. Show starts at 5:30 pm and gates open at 5 pm. Free hot chocolate, face painting, tattoos and more!

On the 12th of October, head to the Sewell Food Truck & Music Festival in Washington Lake Park Food! Beer! Music! Fun! New Jersey foodies, eat your hearts out! Also on the 12th there is the Medford Apple Festival. Each year the Annual Apple Festival returns to the historic Kirby’s Mill in Medford. The super popular Medford Historical Society apple butter is also available each year. Add live music (which plays throughout the day) and you have a memorable event for all.

More events on the 12th include the Barrington Harvest Fest. The Fest takes place along Clements Bridge Road between Atlantic Avenue and Gloucester Pike.
